Hi.

I’m Paul, I started in this profession straight from school, working as a YTS mechanic with my old school teachers husband at a Place called AutoCraft Engineering Services. My 1st ever job was renewing the brake pipes on a Rolls Royce Shadow II, from memory about 50 of them all had too be hand made. This instantly taught me about patience and attention to detail.

I stayed there for around 18yrs and when my boss finally retired I found myself working for Langford Citroen, where I had a thirst for knowledge and went on every course I could and became a master technician after 4 yrs I has head hunted and went working for Peugeot at the RRG Group, again going on courses as and when I could.

I found working on 1 marque of car a little boring as I had always worked on many different vehicles, so when the opportunity arouse to help set up a new garage in Royton I jumped at it.

For 3 yrs I built this garage up from nothing but I then after 20 yrs of playing Rugby a hip problem developed and I needed and new hip.It was at this point I found myself unemployed for the 1st time in my life. It was whilst recovering from the operation I decided to set up my own place, not quite a childhood dream but certainly something I had wanted too do but never had the courage too do. So in 2011 I set up Prestige Car Repairs in a small rented unit in Chadderton Oldham, This was fantastic and many customers from previous garages followed me and started too use my services, this in itself was a very humbling experience. I expanded 2 yrs later into the units next door until finally in 2018 I managed to buy my own premises on Stock Lane.

I have a fantastic, loyal customer base who year in and year out come and support me and recommend me too their friends, family and work colleagues .

I treat all my customers like I would want my family treated if they walked into a garage, with courtesy and respect, I have many female customers who trust me not to take advantage of their  “lack of knowledge” (when popular to common belief the ladies are more knowledgeable than the gents) .I am a family man with 3 grown up kids and 5 amazing Grandkids, I was a captain at Oldham Rugby Football Union and a life long Manchester City Fan, This has given me a great sense of humour as if you follow City over the years you will know.
